#61: The Connection Between Pelvic Pain, TMJ & Headaches
In this episode of The V Hive we are joined by Dr. Bhavti Soni, a pelvic floor physical therapist who specializes in the connection between pelvic pain and TMJ. Dr. Bhavti discusses the major connection between TMJ, headaches and pelvic pain and how this often goes undiagnosed in many patients. She provides us with incredible information on how these two major parts of our body are very intimately linked.
Advice from Dr. Bhavti:
1) Acknowledge if you are clenching your jaw or your pelvic floor. Start to be mindful of it and notice when you can consciously relax these muscles.
2 ) Do two minutes a day of a breathing daily.
3) Engage in any kind of physical activity daily. Physical activity helps tremendously in reducing the bodies pain response.
